Mind Blowing Carnitas

Ingredients

  • 3-4 lbs pork butt
  • 2 limes
  • 12 oz orange juice
  • 4 oz green chilis

Spice Rub

  • 2 tbsp cumin
  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • 2 tbsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 3 tbsp salt

Instructions

  • If desired, trim the pork butt to remove large chunks of fat.
  • Cut pork into 5-6 evenly sized chunks
  • Season the pork with the spice rub
  • Put the pork, orange juice, green chilis, and juice from 1 lime in a crock pot.
  • Cook on high for 8-10 hours.
  • Shred pork and spread on a baking sheet.
  • Squeeze a lime over the top and broil for 4-5 minutes or until it reaches desired color.
